We encourage our children to become courageous advocates who know that they can be agents of change. This means taking action on issues they care about, whether these are concerns close to home, within their local community, or wider global challenges. By developing compassion, empathy and confidence, our children learn that their actions, no matter how small, can have a meaningful impact.

Our commitment to courageous advocacy is rooted in our Christian vision that 'Everybody Matters'. We believe that every person is valued by God and deserves the opportunity to flourish and live life to the full. Courage, one of our core Christian values, inspires both children and adults to stand up for their beliefs, persevere through challenges, and make a positive difference for others.

We want our pupils to develop a sense of responsibility towards their local, national and global communities. We teach them that everyone will face difficulties at some point in life and that supporting others, regardless of their background or circumstances, is an important part of being a caring and compassionate citizen.

Children explore courageous advocacy through our  curriculum, learning from Bible stories, other faiths and worldviews, and the inspiring examples of courageous advocates past and present. We encourage them to think deeply about important issues, discuss and debate big ideas respectfully, challenge injustice, and take part in activities that help bring about positive change.
